From Brief to Reopening -Blackpool Shopping Centre
22.09.2026 ————
On the 18th of September, Blackpool Shopping Centre reopened its doors to Cork. Same address. Same community. Completely different look.
This is what we've been building towards since day one. Months full of design decisions, fabrication runs, site installs and early mornings in Cork - and now, finally, the result.
It started with a blank page
A 25-year-old landmark needed a new visual language. We built it from scratch - logo, colour, typography, a complete identity system designed to carry through every surface of the centre. That foundation made everything that followed possible.
Then it became physical
Multiple retailers received newly fabricated, illuminated fascia lettering installed by our own crew. Individual brands, sitting within a coherent centre-wide framework. The interior went from functional to considered.
A system that guides without interrupting
The wayfinding installation gave the centre a navigational language that works quietly in the background. Directories, overhead signs, entrance panels - all carrying the same design DNA as everything around them.
And it was visible long before you walked in
The exterior works completed the picture. Banners, entrance fascias, parking signage - the rebrand now meets people on the North Ring Road, in the car park, and at the door. Inside and outside, finally speaking the same language.
From brand creation to the final sign on the wall, this is what iQ Branding Solutions does. We designed the identity, produced every element, and installed the lot - one team, one standard, across every phase of the project.
If you have a project that needs the same end-to-end approach, we'd love to hear about it.
