Proud as punch …

We are delighted to have won Bronze in the ‘Roll-Out and Multi-Site’ category at the Sign Awards 2023 in Birmingham for the design consultation and installation management of 2,000 illuminated Guinness signs at pubs throughout Ireland.

Commenting on the award, Jannetje van Leeuwen said:

This project has been and continues to be a great collaboration with our client Diageo, the design team at Dolmen, internal and external crews, software developers, logistics and the IQ Team. Together we achieved this award and it feels wonderful to have received recognition for it.”

We had tough competition with entries from all over Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland. To give a flavour of the complexity of this project – we were responsible for stock management, sign preparation, stock movement, communication with Diageo territory reps and the end customer, installation planning, scheduling, sign installations, electrical work, sign removals and disposals. This involved communicating with multiple internal and external teams, multiple stakeholders located on both sides of the border with all the associated regulatory and pandemic restrictions. To keep us on track to deliver within the 8-to-10-week timeframe, we built a bespoke project management tool that tracked 5 different crews installing 125 signs per week.

And the signs look great. So great in fact that another 1,000 orders are already in and due to be installed in the Summer of 2023.
