Signs of Summers at Cork Airport

If you are heading away this summer and travelling through Cork Airport, we urge you to take a moment to admire some of our handiwork. We understand if you have other things on your mind, so here are some photos.

First up is the face-lit letters with halo lighting to the rear on the Kinsale Bar Cafe. They are hard to miss. Or, the high intensity halo lit letters on the wall of the Food Republic restaurant that spell ‘Bar’.

In the Food Republic Restaurant, we love the high intensity halo lit letters on the wall (Bar) and the bespoke metal bars with the hanging menu boards that highlight their season menus.

Behind the counters, you will notice the printed cast brick vinyl that is heated into the wall. Also worth a mention is the custom metal box that we punched holes into and powder coated before applying sprayed foamex lettering to the face.

All in all, a lovely job. Cork Airport is the international gateway to the South of Ireland. It is the country’s second largest and best connected international airport with more choice of routes than any other airport outside of Dublin. More than 2.2 million passengers travelled through the airport this year, flying to over 50 destinations in the UK and throughout continental Europe. We hope you are going somewhere nice!
